Art Exchange

Each year, the Cupertino-Toyokawa Sister Cities Organization collects students' artwork to send to Toyokawa, Japan. The pieces are displayed in the community center as part of our annual art exchange. Toyokawa students also send art pieces to us, which we display in the Japanese Pavilion /Cupertino Senior Center during the Cupertino Cherry Blossom Festival.

We begin our call for artwork in late Fall, and typically set the deadline to submit at the end of January before shipping the collected items to Toyokawa.

The requirements are:

  • You must be a student in the Cupertino Union School District (K-8), or you've been an exchange student to Toyokawa.

  • You can submit up to 3 pieces

  • Original, 2D (flat) of any medium (pencil, oil, crayon). Please inquire about digital artwork.

  • Your artwork will not be returned

  • Include your full name, school and grade, and parent's contact info including email and phone number

If you are interested, please watch out for the information flyer that is sent to parents via the CUSD school communication system. Questions? Please email delegates.cupertinotoyokawa@gmail.com.
